Beach wedding dress, Empire dress, Vintage style

This dress is part of my serie of my halter dresses and bohemian wedding dresses. I had the luck to find this gorgeous baby pink brocade that I kept for a special project like this one.

The bodice of the dress is made of a eyelet lace cotton fabric that I hand dyed with tea. The bodice bralette is made for a luxuous pink brocade of silk and lurex, lined in baby pink silk. The bralette could be opened with the 3 front buttons, as well as the racerback. There is 2 buttons of each sides to hold the back straps to the bralette. The dress is lined with cotton gauze, lining that you can see on the bottom of the dress. The top of the dress is adorned with a cotton dot lace and on the front, a tea dyed guipure.

My influences are from Napeoleon, 1910s -1920s, Paul Poiret. I will probably add a bolero to pair with those empire dresses.

I conceived this halter dress to be confortable in summer, it is not fitted and let the wind keep you fresh. But, even not fitted it has his part a sexy with is beautiful back cleavage. It would make unique alternative wedding dress, bohemian wedding dress or beach wedding dress.
